Literally meaning “Mountain of Light”, this large diamond is 105 carat in weight and was originally traced in the mines of Golconda in India, Fought over by rulers all over the world, the Koh-i-Noor has a particularly bloody history. Its early history is 5,000 years long, where it was captured and re-captured by India, Persia, the Afghans, and the Sikhs. The Koh-i-Noor’s curse is rumored to only affect men; women are immune to its bad luck. Eventually, British soldiers stole the 109-carat loose diamond from the Sikhs. Today, it rests in the coronation crown of the Queen Mother. Medical examiners discovered that the diamond was inside of the messenger’s stomach during his autopsy. He had swallowed it so that the robbers who murdered him would not steal it. It tracks its history back from 17th century when Wittlesbach-Graff was first discovered by a Spanish king Philip IV.

This diamond is named after Major Alfred Ernest Allnatt — he was one of the holders of the diamond. The Allnatt diamond has size of 101.29 carat (20.258 g) with a cushion cut. The diamond color is rated as fancy vivid Yellow by the Gemological Institute of America. No one know precisely where the diamond was found, but some experts say that the diamond was found where the De Beers premier diamond mine now located.
